Dude, I’m really mad at doctors and hospitals right now. Sometimes I question if they know what they’re really doing. An aquatiance of mine, not saying anybody specific for privacy, was admitted to ICU. Apparently it took them over a week to tell him that they couldn’t performed the surgery and he had to be moved to a more adequate hospital. What gets me is that the doctors and the hospital knew that they couldn’t due the surgery and waited over a week to tell him. Messed up. During that time his condition got worse.
I canceled the weekened trip after I realized who was admitted and drove a hour and half from LA to visit him. When I got there I couldn’t believe my eyes. He looks weak, shorter, bloated, and pale. Apparently the tube for his pain medication was dislodged and the nurses didn’t bother to put it back on. The medication was also going to his skin, this explains the bloatedness. I really hope he’ll be fine. He has kids for goodness sake.
My parents are doctors in the Philippines. I was bombarded with medical knowledge, ethics, and treatment since I was born. The hypocratic oath was to treat the patient any way possible, “prevent the disease.” Seriously, even waiting a few days or a day to tell them before hand that they can’t do the surgery is against this oath. Although, I haven’t taken’t the oath, I based my morals and values of life off of it. In my experience, doctors and hospitals in America are all about money. Let’s open him up for surgery instead of doing a CAT scan first. Let’s make him wait a while in the ICU to suck up all his insurance before we sent him off somewhere else. Man, some doctors get to me.
Surgeons are great btw, not sarcastic. They’re awesome.
I’ve been thinking about getting a new exhaust system for a very long time. I really don’t like my current large box-like stock mufflers and the small diameter exhaust tips. It’s an eyesore, really. If I do go with a new performance parts, it’s going to improve efficiency, be a lot louder and cooler looking…and probably increase my GAS MILEAGE. :)) I’m not really interested in the loud aspect of getting a new muffler, though. Does anybody have any suggestions on what brand or parts to get?
Girls think that when a dude replaces their muffler with a less restrictive one they are attention seekers and jerks. But let’s be honest, at least they have the knowledge of fixing their OWN cars. To sum it up: less restrictive muffler, increase efficiency…..saves gas. haha As for me, I don’t know which one is louder, nor do I care. If it roars but performs better, then let it be.
I can’t wait to get a job so I can start fixing and modding my sister’s scion tc! She’s going to have a performance upgrades:turbo install, a new cold air intake, back exhaust, disc brakes, lower suspension springs; interior upgrades: lightening, radiator, character theme. Sky’s the limit! Installing a turbo kit, would probably be too complicated for me, though.
